Musings of the past...is there a time machine

Life is made of so many choices;

- choices that you desire to change & you can change

- choices that you desire to change & you cannot change

- choices that you cherish

- choices that you regret

- choices that were turing points

- choices that were a sacrific

- choices that hurt

- choices that meant more than life

- choices that you did not want to make

- choices that you dream off

- choices that you look for and on and on and on…

I wish I had a time machine, to go back and make those changes; or do a documentary and ponder over the alternate reactions and realities that could have evolved. Not sure of how one can rationalise the emotions, questions, hurts, regrets, sacrifices.

And I don’t want to make a lame excuse or not be responsible for those choices by just saying “Oh! It was God’s will”. I am not sure what others think, but I for one believe I made those choices and today I need to live my reality based on the consequences over which I have little control or none – I had all control over my choices (probably I was coward sometime or thought of others opinions more than what it meant for me ).

However, its too late and I have to live the present realities and that’s ‘God’s will’ because he gave me all the freedom to be the master of my choices and now, I have no choice but to live His will – the current realities. Oh! I cherish the present and looking forward for the future; but I do wish I can make a documentary of possible realities that could have evolved (also make some changes to the choices I made or come close to those realities that I wanted always).

Ain’t the Bible true – “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.

Bioethics and the Myth of Relativism

Interview with Father Tadeusz Pacholczyk By Giovanni Patriarca PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, JUNE 17, 2009 ( Zenit.org ).- A neuroscientist and ethicist is underlining the need to base bioethics in moral principles, and is affirming that even people who profess relativism count on certain absolutes in life. Father Tadeusz Pacholczyk is the director of education at the Philadelphia-based National Catholic Bioethics Center . He writes a monthly column for The Catholic Herald titled "Making Sense out of Bioethics." In this interview with ZENIT, he discusses some of the need to base bioethics in absolute moral principles in light of recent events related to his field. ZENIT: In recent years bioethics seems to have become a battleground where many interest groups try to impose their political views separated from any consideration of the field's moral foundations. The 2005 U.N. Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights could be considered a starting po...

"Significant Common Ground" Found With Pentecostals 6th Round of Conversations Considers Gifts of Holy Spirit VATICAN CITY, JUNE 17, 2011 ( Zenit.org ).- The Vatican's ecumenism council initiated a sixth phase in conversation with Pentecostal groups, saying a final report should be ready by 2015. The Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity reported on a seven-day round of conversations that concluded Thursday. The Catholic-Pentecostal teams are considering Charisms in the Church: Their Spiritual Significance, Discernment, and Pastoral Implications. Dialogue between the Vatican and these Pentecostal groups began in 1972. The goal is not "structural unity," the Vatican statement clarified, but "to promote mutual respect and understanding in matters of faith and practice."
